About Misima Movie, LLC:
Misima Movie, LLC is focusing on a culturally rich narrative and high-quality filmmaking. We are currently in post-production on a feature documentary exploring the contemporary daily life and challenges of the Misiman peoples after the Misima Mines era in Papua New Guinea.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and diligent entry-level technician to join our Editorial Department. This role involves logging and capturing footage, an essential step in our post-production process. While on-the-job training will be provided, familiarity with Premiere Pro, Excel, and Macintosh computers will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Labeling Rushes and Scene Clips: Organize and label video rushes and scene clips in accordance with the director’s field notes.

  • Markers and Shot Details: Add markers and detailed descriptions to rushes to assist in the editing process.

  • Transcript Generation: Produce static transcripts of interviews.

  • Data Export and Import: Export still frames and marker data from Premiere Pro and import them along with organizing in a master Excel file.

  • File Management: Import and manage files from earlier projects into the current production framework.

  • Data Backup: Ensure all project data is regularly saved and backed up.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Proficiency: Basic knowledge of Premiere Pro, Excel, and familiarity with Macintosh computers.

  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional capacity for managing detailed information accurately.

  • Adaptability: Ability to receive and respond positively to feedback, and adjust processes accordingly.

  • Work Ethic: Comfortable performing repetitive and meticulous tasks.
